ResearchChannel’s mission is to make the latest research findings available to the public. To become a ResearchChannel retransmitter and receive our satellite coordinates, just complete these five easy steps:
The first thing that you should do is verify your equipment is compatible with ours. ResearchChannel transmits a DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) compliant MPEG2 signal. You need a 1.2 meter or larger dish capable of receiving a Ku-band digital signal from Galaxy-18 and a DVB-compliant integrated receiver/decoder.The
DVB project maintains an extensive list of compatible IRDs
here.
Note: Receivers using the DigiCipher II© system such as 4DTV and GI 4200 will not decode this signal.
If you do not have compatible equipment, we have a list of vendors who can accomodate your needs
here.
ResearchChannel is available across North America by satellite. Please refer to the footprint of G-18, available
here.
It is important that you understand our retransmission policies, please review them
here.
It's important that you register so that we can promote your station and inform you of important changes to our satellite information in the future. Fill out and submit the
registration form.
We will contact you shortly to confirm your registration and finalize our retransmission agreement. If you have read through all the information above and still have questions,
contact us.
Let your viewers know that ResearchChannel is now available in their area; our
press release template will help.
