SEATTLE — ResearchChannel invites you to celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by learning more about the earth-conscious efforts of scientists and speakers from the world-renowned universities and research institutions that make up the ResearchChannel consortium.
ResearchChannel offers a full day of programs about conservation, renewable energy, climate change and other environmental concerns all day on Wednesday, April 22. Here’s a look at just a few of these captivating videos:
“From the Margin to the Mainstream: A Brief History of Climate Change Research”: In this National Science Foundation program, prominent researchers look at the progression of climate research throughout history. It’s only within the past 25 years that have we begun to make great strides towards identifying our role in affecting future changes in global climate.
The Institute on the Environment and the greater University of Minnesota community take a new approach to complex environmental problems: a combination of solution-driven research with innovative partnerships and leadership. See how in “Environmental Solutions in Motion.”
From ResearchChannel’s Frontier series, “Bioeconomics of Biofuels & the Shocking Science Behind Electric Cars” examines the advantages of biofuels over fossil fuels and how we can determine the best sources of alternative energy.
All these Earth Day videos are available online at researchchannel.org. ResearchChannel is available nationwide through DishNetwork channel 9400. See more channel listings and program schedules on our Web site.
